IDG has designed a bright and sleek nurse practitioner-led primary care practice for Columbia University School of Nursing in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Upper Manhattan. Dressed in bold colors and warm wood tones, the clinic – fronted by a new elevator lobby with stacked stone veneer and bookmatched sapele paneling – contains a series of medical spaces designed for flexibility in serving various specialties. Ceiling heights were maximized for visual effect, and a bold lighting design was considered a high priority in the windowless space.
